1. How does the media influence what we do or who we become?

The media has a great impact on today's society. The media influences what we do and who we become because we try to impress people who don't even matter. Celebrities obsess over themselves so much that they tend to go insane. Anorexia is common in order to stay so called "fit". Celebrities exhaust themselves to the point of no return. Therefore, the media does affect what we do and become.  By our artwork  you can tell that celebrities are quite the mess nowadays.

collections vs hoarding

Collections vs. Hoarding. What is the difference?

Collections involve one thing you mainly focus on collecting while hoarding is keeping every little nic nac you come across. Being a hoarder can become a very serious problem. A serious disease can develope. By watching the show hoarders, I have learned that it is not a healthy habit/hobby as when collecting rocks or some other things that you are into can be fun and entertaining. I dont collect anything myself but I would much rather be a collecter than a hoarder.  If I were to collect something it would be nail polish because whatever color you choose to paint your nails expresses your personality. When I paint my nails it makes me happy. I have plenty of colors to choose from so I can have a variety of color to fit my mood for that day or week.

compare and contrasting both drawing

Both drawings were equally challenging for me. The bicycle drawing involved a lot of shading with pencil while the candy jar was more mellifluous. The bike drawing required more attention to detail, as where the candy drawing focused mainly on combinations of colors to differentiate depth and shadows. I found the candy jar drawing much simpler because it required less intense detail and was more influenced by imagination.

candy jar drawing

The process of drawing the candy jar was pretty difficult overall. Coloring in colored pencil was frustrating at first because the shading was hard to do. We learned how to mix two colors. In other words, one color had a complementary color. For example, reds complementary color is green. I am satisfied with the drawing I have come up with. It was shocking to see how well I was able to draw a candy jar with colored pencils.

bike drawing

The process was to demonstrate a more complex understanding of composition and value. Better yet, to know that it was a bike or part of a bike. I was able to work consistently on my drawing. My experience while drawing the bike had its ups and downs. When I was not able to shade a part right or didnt quite get the jist of things, I got frustrated and doubted myself. I learned that you need to take your time amd really consider the amount of detail in the photograph. I surprised myself with how well I was able to shade after much practice. I learned that art is harder than it looks.
